The Learning Process
"My management was pleased with the quality of my work, which was a direct reflection on the caliber of the college and instructors. With this degree and my PMP® certification, I believe the doors are open for many opportunities. I enjoy working in the Project Management Office (PMO), but I would also like to incorporate teaching project management courses."

Graduate, Master of Science of Project Management Program

Enhanced Academic Development
Learning is at the core of what PMI does. After all, PMI Registered Education Providers have taught more than one million people in the last five years alone. Learning is an innate part of the career life-cycle - even the most experienced project managers spend countless hours studying before sitting for their credential exams, and upon achieving their certification, they have to continue to learn in order to retain their status. Therefore it should not be surprising that supporting a student's academic development is a high priority.
Our approach is founded on the belief that effective education has to contain both high-quality classroom interaction (whether in person or online) and hands-on experience.
Our academic support begins the moment they join as a student member. They receive a free copy of A Guide to the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK® Guide) and subscriptions to a variety of electronic and print publications, including the award-winning Project Management Journal, published in collaboration with John Wiley and Sons.
Experiential Learning
The chance to get hands-on experience in this discipline begins on your campus, working with faculty on pioneering research in this dramatically evolving field. It then moves into the world of the practitioner, by participating in one of our 250 components.
Classroom Support
Classroom support begins with the James R. Snyder Knowledge & Wisdom Center, home to an expert staff that can help answer questions and support students' project management studies. It then extends to special discounts on the thousands of resources in the PMI Marketplace and continues with access to special collections of scholarly publications, including a subscription to the scholarly Project Management Journal, the world's leading peer-reviewed journal devoted to project management.
