PMI's Research Program

PMI research projects often encompass multiple disciplines, institutions and countries. Teams come together virtually and in intensive research program working sessions where ideas are exchanged through roundtable discussions and presentations.

The Academic Advisory Group

The prestigious Academic Member Advisory Group (AMAG) serves a vital role in helping shape global research at PMI. Its knowledge-area experts are hand-selected by the PMI Academic Resources Manager with the approval of the PMI CEO and concurrence of the PMI Board of Directors.

Member's activities include:
- Advising the PMI Academic Resources Manager
- Liaising with supported research project teams
- Facilitating Research Program Working Sessions and Research and Education Conferences
- Reviewing survey link requests, supported research proposals and conference papers.

Membership in PMI is not a requirement for serving on this group. If you are an academic or practitioner with expertise in a project management-related area and would like to be considered for inclusion, please contact the PMI Research Program.

New Online Academic Community

PMI is currently creating the framework for a new global interactive research community, where participants will be able to work together from around the world. Community members will be able to post research announcements, find experts, search articles and research, and participate in threaded discussions, all within a secure environment. Please email us if you would like to be informed of when this new program launches.
